For those of you who missed the memo, I will be handling photos a little differently this year. I had to try to simplify the Race Report process, it takes an enormous amount of time to upload all the photos individually. To solve this problem I will be creating pages of photos and uploading them all at once. This will make it impossible to download individual photos. In order to allow riders access to their photos I’m going to post rider photos on my website for the first two races. This too is a time consuming task however, so after the first two races I will only continue to do this for riders who make a $20 contribution to the Seehorse Race Reports. You can do this by Paypal on my site, or in person at the races. This will give you access to online quality versions of your photos throughout the season. You can upgrade to a full photo package at any time and get all your best photos, full rez., cropped and adjusted, as well as a custom photo with your name and number on it for an additional $40. I will also sell photos individually.
Cropping and Adjusting
I will only be cropping and adjusting a very few, select photos in the first two weeks. Riders who contribute the $20 to Seehorse however, will have their best shots cropped and adjusted before they are posted online. This process can make a dramatic difference in the end product photo. Here is an example of the difference between a ‘stock’ photo and a processed one.
You can continue to the Rider’s Photos 2012 and search for your photos by number. I’ve just started these files after the Nanaimo Open House, make sure you check back after the first race in Campbell River on April 15th! I will also put up Rider’s Photos 2011 for people who did not buy a package last year.
