Corey Cardinal Training Hard

Although he was absent from the first race at Victoria, Corey Cardinal is hard at work getting ready for the upcoming season.

I caught up with Corey at Nanaimo on a practice day. He looked fast.

Corey has been a young standout on the island for many years now. We have watched him win races all the way up from the 50cc class. We have watched him win the Supermini class on his 65cc KTM, watched him pass the leader of the 12+ 85cc when he started behind in the -11 age category, and we have watched him win the Junior class on a small-wheel 150cc Honda. Last year, as a fourteen year old rookie Intermediate rider, we watched him win the Island Intermediate class, and finish as high as 26th in a field of the best 250F riders in the country. This year Corey is back riding for Duncan Motorsports after a year with Mile Zero Motorsports, and is looking to improve on his fantastic rookie season. He has been working out more than ever before, and riding a couple times a week. He is stronger, fitter, and more mature than ever…it’s hard to remember that he is just barely fifteen years old! Watch for him to crack the top twenty at the Nationals this year! Good Luck Corey!
