I’m just overwhelmed by the response to NMA’s Thursday Night Races. I believe it all starts at the club level, and I think the turn-out, especially of new riders, to these races shows there is a demand for local, low-cost, low-risk, casual race events. The final round was the biggest and best in most ways. The Ryan Lalonde camp was going on during the day and as a result many of those new riders hung around for the races. We had 27 bikes line up for the start of the first small-wheel race! That’s too many to run under club race insurance so we had to break the class up. The very best kind of problem to have! Anyways, the whole thing was a ton of fun and I hope we can do it again next year.
